Meet Your Counsellor
Continuum Counselling is based in St John’s, Newfoundland, and offers a supportive, non-judgemental space to make sense of stress, trauma, burnout, and neurodivergent experiences.
If you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply tired of carrying things on your own, this is a place where you can slow down and begin to understand what’s been building beneath the surface.
My path to counselling did not begin in a counselling office. It began in classrooms, conversations, books and a lifelong curiosity about what helps people make sense of difficult experiences. As.both an educator and counsellor, I have always been drawn to the stories people carry—especially the parts that often remain unseen.
I believe healing is rarely about becoming someone new. More often, it involves understanding ourselves more clearly, reconnecting with our strengths, and finding a way forward that feels authentic and sustainable.
My role is not to tell you who to be.
My role is to walk alongside you as you discover what matters most to you.
Professional Background
My professional background spans education, counselling, writing, communications, and community development. Before becoming a counsellor, I worked as an educator, English as an Additional Language (EAL) teacher, medical copy editor, artist residency programme coordinator, and community-based practitioner.
I hold a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Counselling Psychology, a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in Intermediate/Secondary Education, and a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Writing. My academic background also includes studies in English, biology, and psychology.
These experiences continue to shape my counselling approach, which is grounded in curiosity, relationship, meaning-making, and an appreciation for the ways individuals are influenced by the families, communities, and systems around them.
